Opera and effectiveness

So, my good friend Valerie got me free tickets to go see the dress rehersal of La Boheme at the Portland Opera last night. It was really cool! I was kindof preparing myself to not like it that much because it is long and in another language and a style I'm not used to, and a story that I have seen a whole bunch of times. But I did enjoy it.
