I just sent a courage campaign pledge to overturn gay marriage to my family members.  I feel so vulnerable right now.  I feel like crying.  I hate feeling so vulnerable. 

I want to go to a Day of Decision protest but I'm scared.  I won't know anyone.  I don't have anyone that I can call to meet me there.  My girlfriend is sleeping.  I feel I have a passion to fight, but I'm more concerned with my social anxiety.

BTW, I really am going to go though. 

Tomorrow is a big day on the civil rights front.  California Supreme Court gives its ruling on two issues in gay marriage, whether to invalidate Prop 8 and legalize same-sex marriage in California, and whether or not the marriages that took place while gay marriage was legal will continue to be recognized if Prop 8 is not overturned.  Ugh, how ( Read more... )

I think that my friends page is broken- no new entries show up after July 23rd, the day I last checked it before going on vacation. That sucks. I need to sleep anyway and shouldn't be on LJ, but still, that sucks.

I think that Crimson and Clover should be an anthem.  An angsty, lezzy, crush anthem. I absolutely love it.

I just watched an awesome documentry, Naked States.  It follows this photographer, Spencer Tunick, as he goes on this road trip photographing people naked in all 50 states.  The pictures and the stories are really intriguing and calming, in a way.  It's about people being okay with their bodies.  I found some pictures through google (I didn't try ( Read more... )

I'm reading an article about sex and bonobo society.  It amuses me how the author describes bonobos as far more attractive than chimpanzees, even commenting on their red lips, and then goes on to talk about bonobo-sex extensively.  Seriously, I find this hilarious.  Bonobos are hot.
