President Bush has just made a public announcment about homosexuality on CBS as of 02/23/05. George Bush is going to put a ban on homosexuals in the media because its "raising the future americans the wrong way" as he states in the interview. If we can get 200 people to sign this petition, we can get this bill not passed. Your help is really needed ( Read more... )

I don't think Bush should ban homosexuality in the media or anywhere at all. Homosexuals made a choice to be that way and they aren't hurting anyone else. We need to except people for who they are, not for what kind of gender they like!

Homosexuality is a part of life. If it wasn't supposed to happen, god wouldn't have created it. If it was a horrible thing, it literally would not exist. Bush should not ban homosexuality, it's almost impossible to. People cannot help the way they feel. If a women loves another women, so be it, they're both people, both human beings. Heck, if a man loved a dog, I wouldn't care either. It may be a little awkward, but still, it is wrong to tell people how they can, and can't live their own life. You have one life to live, I don't think that you should be told how to live it, and how to love. If you're not creating violence, should it really matter who your love is directed to? Although I am not a homosexual, I freely support the idea of it. I seriously believe that Bush should not control the way of life people choose to follow. Well, not that I'm done expressing my feeling, with amazingly, quite few grammer mistakes, I think I'll leave it at this.

Exactly! I hate Bush and his views on homosexuality. This ban will limit free speech. While he's trying to deal with Iraq, he's stripping us of our freedom.
Well, this is completely unrelated to homosexuality or Bush, but there's a building on this one street. One of the shops on the corner is owned by an artist who drew angels on the side of the building in memory of those who died on 9/11. He got fined and actually thrown in jail for thirty days because he refused to paint over his artwork.
Guess why they wanted him to paint over it.
Because he wrote the word 'love' and one of the angels had a 'revealing top' that showed too much cleavage. Can you believe that? What's our society coming to? It's such an outrage. Our freedoms and rights are being taken away because the goverment wants to limit our freedom to express ourselves. People make such a fuss over swearing and then you flip to the history channel and see someone's head being blown off in a war. It just sickens me.
I'm so pissed.

Right. Watching homosexuals on tv is not "raising the future americans the wrong way". What kind of pot is he smoking? You are not raised to be a lesbian or to be gay, you're born that way. You have no choice, it's just how you are. Everyone puts stress on the issue because they think it goes against the bible. But, as Jessalynn stated below, if it wasn't right, God wouldn't have crated it. So, obviously, there's nothign wrong with it. I'm not a homosexual, but I have absolutely nothing against it. You should not treat anyone different because of their sexual preference. It's not their choice. Same goes with gay marriage, why is Bush saying that homosexuals shouldn't be allowed to marry? They have every right to. If everyone's supposed to be equal in this country, then why is he trying to ban certain people from what their allowed to do. What, do I and so many others have a warped idea of what equality is? Did I miss a few crucial lessons on discrimination in school? What Bush is doing is wrong. He's crossing the line. I can't even ( ... )
