Holy cow, only two weeks between posts. It's a miracle.
The last two weeks have been pretty eventful. Christine got married on March 17th, which meant that peemonkey and I headed out to Kitchener after work on the Thursday before in order to help with last minute preparations. Not too much has happened in the last month, and yet I feel completely crazy busy. I've been doing a few things for Christine's upcoming wedding (March 17th), both sneaky and non-sneaky type stuff. Thoughts on my first week...
My first week at my new job was quite fantastic. There were flowers waiting for me at my big C-shaped desk, plus a writing pad portfolio thingy full of company-related stuff, like a flyer on the group car insurance policy, and a page on how to order my business cards (!). I received my "welcome package" by courier today - my background check officially came back clear, so they were officially allowed to finalize my offer. Geez. Only 2 business days until I'm supposed to start, but whatever :). Actually, I got a call on Tuesday about it, so I knew it was coming. Time off!
I'm at home this week, as a sort of vacation week between my temp job, and my new job (my new job! Eeee!). Even more importantly, I'm listening to Christmas music. I love Christmas music. I love Christmas. I want very much to start decorating the house, but I usually start on December 1, just because I'm so turned off by the "Christmas Rush" ( Read more... )
