I have puppy envy terribly bad too. This makes me so freaking sad and angry. I don't think I could be friends with someone who had so little care for such a sweet puppy.

Oh, tish, I'm sorry. I so wanted you to have that puppy.
While I'm less of a puppy person, I've been stalking a cat on our petfinder webpage out here for over a year now. This is him:
Timothy
He's sick and I know nobody will take him, and I just want to squeeze him.
In (hopefully) about 9 months, I'll have my own place again, and he's mine, all mine.
It makes me sad that I know he'll either a) still be up for adoption, or b) not be living anymore in 9 months.

Oh man. Oh man. :( :( :(
Our family has almost always housed defective animals. Bleedin' hearts, the whole lot of us.
1. Dixie, the collie mix that we found shaking under our car at church in a storm. Abused, neglected, lots of badness.
2. Biscuit, the sickly runt of a minature weenie dog litter. Wasn't expected to live, but Mom paid full price anyways.
3 & 4. Niles and Daphne (aka, Kitty and Other Kitty, depending on order seen), malnourished kittens found near the road while on a walk.
5. Mocha/Punkin, the black lab mixed with rotweiler we found abandoned near a junkyard. Hip problems and so on.
We've owned... one animal that wasn't somehow in bad shape. Well. I'm not living near 'em anymore, but. :(
