I dumped a work problem I’ve been agonizing over for the past week or so onto someone else yesterday. It was very freeing. And then she offered me a job. So that was nice too.

My boss called me "super smart" yesterday. And then somewhat defensively claimed that she forms her opinions of people based on objective evidence like performance and integrity, not just because she likes them, thus dispelling any notions I might have had that she likes me for my charm, wit, and sparkling personality.

Yesterday my boss told me to play dumb about certain aspects of marketing.
Today she said, "What a tiny little waist you have! You should wear shirts that show it off more often."

I think she's trying to turn me into a barbie doll...

Someone in a meeting decided to prove a point. She said, “Everyone take out your phones and look at our website. Now look at our competitor’s website. And by the time we’re done here it will still be loading. (Ha ha ha)” And of course my thoughts took off from there. I do some of my best thinking in other people’s meetings!

I've been working with a lawyer at Big Company to draft a use policy for a system I'm launching. An earthquake occurred during our meeting today. Throughout the whole earthquake the lawyer kept reading through his notes, not even looking up. When it finished I made a comment, and he looked up at me and said,"Was that an earthquake???"
