i don't know, i don't think i will ever get myself to go see that movie. i just feel that whoever making a movie about it is cruel. no one knows what happened on that plane; no one survived to tell the story. and to take a story about how a bunch of people died on a plane b/c terrorists used it to kill THOUSANDS of people...even if it were in a different country, i would still feel bad for watching it. :-/
Actually, it's a pretty good rendition as to what exactly happened...and that's based on the numerous cell phone calls many of the family members recieved as well as the black box flight tape that they recovered.
Honestly, though, how can you justify that the person who produced this movie is cruel? If anything, I think the various news stations who spent the month or two after 9/11 doing nothing but replaying the footage of the Towers falling and people falling out of the Towers are much more cruel than the producers of this movie. To paraphrase one of the surviving family members of someone off of Flight 93: "It's hard to deal with it, but it's been five years. If we let it go on any longer, we'll lose the accuracy of the details and the impact of the message."
Oh, by the way, I expect you to boycott every action movie that has someone being killed by someone of a different walk of life now...
everyone else can do whatever the hell they want. i just said i personally don't want to see it. i'm not going to be bitching if it gets millions of dollars in the box office. but if i can't even watch the footage of the towers falling, i'm not going to be able to handle seeing a movie based on those people dying on that plane. get all butt-hurt by my previous comment if you want, but it's not changing how i feel.
Sounds like you're the butt hurt on the defensive...if not a movie about different cultures...a movie about what's right and that there is some good in people? Not that we'd be missing out on our Republican Govt, as Mr. Protosevitch(Misspelled I know.)pointed out, but the fact that those people could come together to do that...Sorry darlin, but if I ever get in a tough situation that requires teamwork and sacrifice, I sure hope you're not there.
I'm glad someone has started coming out about how crappy of a movie it was. Since the reviews came out, I've been saying that it's a crappy movie it's just that no one's going to come out and say it for fear of being labeled a 'terrorist' (Fuck you very much, Republican Controlled Congress [among other things].)
So, what exactly are some of the good things that Muslims do...?
I loved United 93. I cried at the footage of the WTC just because the movie made it feel so real. I liked the way it came out though, I thought the movie itself was good.
I agreee with you on the whole Muslim thing too. They're actually really good people. We just finished learning about them in World Religions. Jihad doesnt even mean "religious war" it means "become a better Muslim" through prayer etc. If people would just stop listening to the news and researched it for themselves they would know they're really peaceful people.
By the way Liz..I was just looking through some of your "friends" post....you have a lot of whiny bitches you associate with. I dont know if we can be friends anymore. I may whine...but at least Im fucking faded when I do it. and I punch shit. ...and stuff.
Dude, talk about drama. I really don't care either way about the movie...I just wanted you to tell Leah that Miss Arizona joined her facebook group! Yay! Nate=Hilarious by the way.
