Thanks Laura! :D

I was so happy to be able to take her but never in my wildest dreams would I have thought she'd get to see him up close like that! It was so fantastic and I was so happy for her because of it. She was beyond thrilled when I first told her we'd bought the tickets, but to see him up close.... oh yeah... we are now officially the coolest parents on the planet! ROFL XD

Wow, sounds like you had a great night! :-D I can't believe no one recognised him when they were there to see him, that's just crazy!

I couldn't believe it either. I guess no one expected him to just saunter by like that. LOL He looked so blissfully normal that no one saw him. Perhaps they were expecting him to be tarted up or something! ;) Still I was stunned. I recognized him immediately. Thinking back on it I half wonder if Eddie always walks around in front of the theater to judge the crowd a bit. He did make several comments about the aging hippies in Santa Fe... which had everyone cracking up ( ... )

Haha yes maybe they were expecting lipstick and clouds of glitter or something!

That's really strange, I wouldn't go to a show to see someone I'd never heard of, and I would definitely pass my ticket onto a real fan, the karma would come back one day and get me a ticket to something great that I actually wanted!

Santa Fe is a very different sort of town. I'd say well over half the people there the other night were just supporters of the theater and they go and see who ever is there... it doesn't matter if it's opera or a comic, they go. It made the feel of the audience very strange for me. Hell I bet half those people were in their seventies!!! :P

Not your typical Eddie crowd. ;D LOL

Oh, how awesome!! I love hearing stories like that, when famous people are really so down-to-earth and act like real people [except for that whole, y'know, being recognized thing!!]
Sounds like a great night!! =)

It was great Mer! :D

And Eddie was just so "real". He smiled and waved to everyone but it was obvious that there was very little time before the show was to start. I'm sure he needed to get back stage to do his make up, or go over notes or whatever. :D

It was sooooooooo great watching her face! :D I'd brought some blankets and pillows for the long drive home hoping she would sleep but she was so animated after the show that she laughed and talked and squee'd all the way home! LOL

She must be dragging today in class. ;)
