So, um, for this round I worked with a fandom that I'm not technically in? And by technically I mean that I have never watched Supernatural, not one episode, but I have this weird compulsion to READ ALL THE FICS and DOWNLOAD ALL THE FANMIXES and in my bouts of fic-binging I discovered Clairestiel and everything was beautiful and nothing hurt. So

First of all, your knowledge of Supernatural is A+, exactly right, and it makes me super happy that you erased this based solely on Novaks/angels. :DDDDDD

And then the poem itself! It feels...more hopeful? than my original sense of the fic. And that's not the right word for it at all, but I really like the elements you've worked with here, the sense of moving forward, the struggles and losses and the balance between letting go of things and then grounded is not helpless/

I'm so glad you liked it! I stressed out because I couldn't figured out whether I ended up writing Claire or Cas or Clairestiel or what, but I knew it gave me SPN feelings (am I even allowed to have legitimate SPN feelings? ugh, I blame tumblr) so I just ran with it. I guess ultimately I just sort of ran with what I knew about angels and Christianity and God, which is not a whole lot, and I kept coming back to the idea of the fall and I wanted to play with that a little.

Thank you for writing a wonderful fic that was so much fun to erase! :D

OMG WOW. HELLO CLAIRESTIEL POEM. I really like the mirrors and the idea that what you see is not what you get, in angels and vessels. And the whole stanza about an angel being a virus, and paradise "different for the dying". sdfljkfdksf oh my godddd angel traumaaaa. I had this open in a tab for ages because I KNEW I would want to read your erasure :D fabulous.

SPN poetry is one of my favorite games! I am not as good as Las but I definitely have a couple books where I've been reading the poems like "and what will this one tell me about Supernatural? oh yes" :))
