It may be potentially squicky but it's still fantastic nevertheless! I really loved their bantering here, it was spot on. Also loved how you showed hints of vulnerability to Nathan--- Little hints like Like it hurts him to ask for something, like he's waiting for the kick in the ribs, tiny, wounded-animal noise.. Urgh, so good. I mean, despite his wisecracking exterior and all he's gone through he's still a young boy underneath it all.

And this part here just breaks me:

"I don't want to leave." I promised I wouldn't, he doesn't say.

"But you're gonna, so get over it."Urgh. Naaate, it really hits the headcanon I have for the both of them. The one where they're both still at the wobbly stage of building up trust and there's a terrified corner of Nate that thinks Sully is just going to up-and-leave him one day

Aw, man, this comment made me smile so hard! And, basically yes--everything you commented on is everything I wanted to get across. I have so many Nate feels, so many feels about Sully having Nate feels, and if I could form coherent sentences about these two idiots I wouldn't have had to write the fic XD
