It had taken less than a minute for Jinki to fall head over heels for Jonghyun.
Jinki first saw Jonghyun in his early morning music class. He’d chosen it because, despite having waking earlier, the class had only eight other students, and he was extremely nervous and anxious when performing in front of others.
Jonghyun had been pacing in front of the instruments, singing softly under his breath as he looked for the perfect guitar. Jinki had never heard anyone sing so beautifully, and in his shock, he tripped over the piano bench and slammed into the keys.
The cacophonous sound had startled Jonghyun into whirling around. “Are you okay?” he asked, forgetting his task to instead approach Jinki.
“I-Yes,” Jinki stuttered, rubbing at his hip. “Are you new?”
Jonghyun smiled widely. “I just transferred in this semester,” he told him. “My name is Kim Jonghyun.”
Jinki bowed his head. “Lee Jinki,” he introduced politely. “It’s nice to meet you.”
Despite Jinki’s shyness and hesitance, Jonghyun had immediately become his friend. Eventually, that friendship morphed into much more, but Jinki probably would have said it was love at first sight.
