It really is lovely, deep and thoughtful, romantic in its angsty way. I love nervous has-to-sit-down Mulder and Scully being so quietly brave.

As to XF writing, I haven't really posted anything else yet. I did share a few other snippets (more unfinished than this one, though) many months ago from this same gigantic thing, but it'll be quite awhile before the whole thing is finished, I imagine. Though encouragement from all these lovely people, especially Dasha, is a big help! :)

This is incredibly lovely. At first I was also worried as to how Mulder could be even slightly okay with taking out her chip, but your explanation works - very well. As does Mulder's continued worry, even though he knows he has to trust Scully.
