I adore this. Basch's thoughts are so very in character to him, and I love the verbal play between these two. Your Balthier is also perfect in my opinion. Flirty but vaguely non committal, and I love how he slowly pulls Basch in over time, each meeting hooking him a little more. A lovely piece.

Despite Balthier being my favourite character since very early in the game, it was Basch's personality which came easier to me when I was writing. Balthier was very tricky! I'm delighted to hear they turned out ok in your opinion. ♥
