As is part and parcel of my daily life, today is Friday, the first day of my weekend. Lotions, Potions and PFM
Spent yesterday making soap, lotion and PFM. This should be enough to last us through the winter, until we can get back out in the mountains and do some wildcrafting. I'm out of arnica, yarrow, and I need to make a fresh jar of oil of Gilead next spring. I'm also going to try and dry my comfrey next weekend in the hopes of not having to wait to ( Read more... ) -
Labor Day Weekend
Plans have changed, with the smoke being so daunting this week, we are not going to head to lake placid or the Lochsa. Instead Michelle and I are going to get together and make lotions. potions, salves and soaps. I'm making castile soap, goat's milk (luxury bar) soap and some huckleberry marble soap for this winter and Yule gifts. I'll be making ( Read more... ) -
Lochsa Picnic
Busy putting a quick picnic together, deviled eggs, homemade kale chips, cut up fresh tomatoes from the garden and chicken/spinach/red pepper sausages for grilling. Bjorn and I are going to head down the Lochsa which is designated as wild water reserve. Actually we will be going up over Lolo Pass and into Idaho, then down. Garden Plots, Plans and Addendums
Bjorn and I spent yesterday doing a bit of garden shopping/pricing. I've big plans this year to expand the garden into the back yard, with my beloved Shiloh no longer needing the space.
