I was startled just now to hear "The Dutchman" on the radio.  One of those songs that evokes a specific time and place, and group of people.

i'm learning to play that on the guitar now -- it's decoupled a little from its previous context for me, because i've been hearing it played and sung in places far from home. still beautiful though! hugs, sab
