[After the events of this thread a while ago, Regal has been attempting to find out just who broke into the bakery, but his own personal investigation hasn't given him any leads. Of course, this means he has to turn to other sources; namely, the journals. Surely someone knows something about the identity of these mysterious pie thieves, right?] ( Read more... )

[No matter how many times she hears this story, it just won't stop being amusing. Who on earth would break into a bakery to steal pies that are free?]

You're finally resorting to gathering intel?

[Personally, Regal thinks it's hilarious as well, and leaves him even more curious as to just who would be that... well, clueless.]

Yes, my own investigation seems to have come up a bit short on suspects so far.

Now, that won't do. This pie burglary simply cannot go unpunished.

I admit I'm mostly curious as to who would bother going to such lengths to steal something that was free to begin with.

That I'm not sure. I suspect they may have had a sudden craving for pie after the bakery had already closed for the day.

Yes, you would think, especially since they aren't saving any money by doing so.

[Raine knows that she hasn't been getting out much lately, but... really?]

That's... odd. Is everything all right?

Yes. I was hoping I would be able to track down the culprits myself, but they didn't leave me enough clues to figure out who they were.

[Jack will try as best as possible to disguise his voice in this transmission. And the best way he can think of to do this is to try to put on a posh accent. Also, he's sort of whispering--like maybe he shouldn't have access to his journal at all right now.]

Oh I say good fellow, mightn't it have been a bear what broke in then?

[Regal isn't quite sure what that accent is supposed to be, but you can hear the smile in his voice as he responds to this stranger.]

I would hope the bears around here have better manners than that.

Well, you don't know bears then, do you, my good sir? Big ugly brutes what'll do anything for a bit of pie.

I can't say I've ever spoken to one of the bears here, but if they wanted pie that badly, all they had to do was ask.

[...Heh. Well then, we could just go down an odd route so-]

I've known someone to break into the grocery before.

Do you know their motive for doing so?

It was late and night and they wanted tomato juice.

That's a rather unusual food to have a craving for.
