I think that the Raspberry Reich is my new favorite movie. Because it is amazing. And I want the Soundtrack. It beats out Neu Wave Hookers and Female Trouble for the best film I've seen in class this semester. Both of which you should also go see ( Read more... )

That definitely has come up a couple times in my search for gay german movies, but I haven't rented it. Now we'll see.

For some reason I read gay german movies as porn, and I was like Maddy, really? Good for you.

I swear I don't have a one track mind (i just like porn, it's either funny, hot, or an amazing sociological study).

Be warned that Raspberry Reich has some penis shots. I seem to recall we share similar feelings about the aesthetics of penises. But it's worth the penis shots. Seriously. It's about German Communists trying to start a revolution. And you can't have revolution without homosexual revolution...

How do you read a three letter term as "porn"?!?
I shall persevere past the penis shots - it's what I did with "Shortbus," and I was very happy I did. Besides, someday I might see a real one, and I don't want to scream. :)

Hating straight boys because they're boys means that I have even less patience for the gay ones. Not only are they boys but they're boys who like boys. This concept confuses me to the point of blind rage, being a man-hater. It's fortunate that the man hating part of my personality makes up only about 30%.

With that bit of insight into my psyche, I regret to inform you that I will not be viewing this movie. I will, however, pretend that I have and say that it was great to anybody who asks me for an opinion.
