It's interesting that you like David Foster Wallace, who was a very straight man I think, and despise Chuck Palahniuk, who's gay.

Is he really gay? I had no idea. But, come on? Who's more attached to social constructions of masculinity? It's totally Palahniuk. I also dislike David Sedaris, and I know he's gay.
Eh. Identity politics. I feel like they've lost what power they had. Fluidity and spectrums are replacing binaries in the radical community--I'm sure Wallace had a crush on some boy in his time.

How are you?

Aw. I like Sedaris and Palahniuk.

Es ist ausgezeichnet, dass du jetzt Deutsch lernst!

Yeah, I'm scheduled to tutor German twice a week at 9 a.m., and I really don't understand the point, because most of us can't speak our native language that early in the morning, much less a foreign one. We just finished a fantastic play from the 1700s in my German lit class about how private education leads to castration and suicide. It marked a new level of crazy Germanness. I'm very jealous of your dual citizenship!
Good luck with transfer apps! Sounds like you're just way too smart for anyone, but I'm sure you'll find a place somewhere that really challenges you on that level.

German is making want to capitalize all of my nouns. What' s is the Play called? I love crazy German writing. There is such an abundance of it.

He takes social and political issues that are supposedly "deep" or "controversial" like anarchy, gender, or abortion and then writes about them in a way that is shocking instead of intelligent. He does not seem to understand the issues he writes about. Though he is advertised as portraying the aspects of society that are base enough no one else will dare, this is not so. He makes up shocking and nihlistic situations and characters that ignore the reality of these issues. Then someone reads fight club and thinks they know what anarchy is--when they actually know only of a harmful stereotype of anarchy and nothing of the actual politics or actual anarchists. Same with the sex change one, I forget what it's called.

Just fyi, you wrote about Nabokov that it's "the most gorgeous prose I have ever written". Stop trying to take credit for things you didn't do, silly plagerizer.
