Then the site started showing ads, and although my paid account prevented those ads from showing up on my journal, I was annoyed enough to decide against renewing the account. If taken at thier word, ALL 'I'm quitting' posts are principled ones. And they generally have an accusing finger pointed at the readers for the quality of thier feedback.

*shrug* It was the bit about the contrast between the obnoxious ads and his journal content that I was mostly referring to. I really don't endorse or reject the bit about apathy.

By the end of May, I'll have worked Dreamwidth into my daily patterns, and I'll be reading you there. If I'm not there in the meantime, it's because I'm really bad at infrastructure change, not because I don't care.

Considering I'm keeping the journal around in order to continue commenting elsewhere, no, those are safely outside what I plan to delete. Kudos on taking my advice about being more forthright, though. ;P

Dreamwidth imports comments as well as entries, so your contributions aren't going to be erased from record, in case you were concerned.

Well, I can understand the concept of not wanting to deal with an organization you don't care for making a profit off your writing. I *do* read what you write, but i usually check my livejournal at work, which doesn't leave me much time for reflective comments. I will be sorry to not see you!
