What the hell is with my computer this week?

So this morning I went in for an oil change and my 90k mile check up. Figured it was gonna take a while, so i brought my laptop and the article i'm working on, and got in a good 2 hours of work. Came home, and suddenly my laptop wasn't recognizing that it was plugged in. Well shite

You can either wait a month and get Windows 7, or do an upgrade to Windows 7. It is a lot more stable than Vista from what I've read, and real close to being released. The upgrade should be free at most stores. (Indeed, you might be able to get a notebook on sale because they'll want to clean out the Vista machines before Windows 7 comes out, and still give you the upgrade.)

I'm using an HP myself and have only had a few problems with it (Vista-related), and one overheating issue. And I use it as my primary computer (I have it hooked up to a monitor and a keyboard and mouse, so it's acting like a small portable PC at the moment ^^).
