Mouse in the house...
I've been downgraded. Seems my battle against the rats has resulted in a rather fat mouse sneaking into the house instead. Saw it down cellar.
Time to drag out some traps. Surprised it came into the house though, it's been remarkably decent weather out. Heck, I'd not be surprised if my cellar is colder than outdoors during the day of late... -
Ungrateful cold...
My cold is so ungrateful. I asked what it wanted for dinner and it insisted on salami pizza. Okay. Doable. And tasty. But now it's asking for orange sherbert ice cream for dessert.... -
The Reason I No Longer Watch Fox News
People go on about why we should "boycott" Fox News because of their being owned in part by the Saudis and other groups. To be honest, the ownership of Fox doesn't matter, so long as they provide balanced and accurate news reporting. Sadly, this has not been the case ( Read more... ) -

A mystery of maggots
For the last several months I've had a bit of a rat problem. I live right next to a small area of wetlands (a couple acres) and a wooded hillside, so it's to be expected, I suppose - though I've noticed the blighters always seem to show up while my cousin and her children are staying at the house.
