I just found out our library does ebooks! How cool is that?

How does that work, exactly?

Hrm. It looks pretty simple, actually. Apparantly you don't even need a Kindle or Nook to do it - you can download straight to your computer. It needs to be Windows compatible and use Acrobat apparantly (you can transfer it to your portable reader). The checkout time is 7 days, so a little less than a regular book, but still you can renew it for another seven days. I don't know the mechanism for it going away at the end of the viewing time, but I haven't tried it yet (probably won't with using phoneline for downloading, but still, I'm excited that it can be done!)

That's neat. And it would be a very low cost way to put my books into a lot more libraries.
