Um, yeah, I'm crazy. Or hopelessly optimistic. I have joined my fellow fiber-holics over in Ravelry and jumped on the Ravelympic bandwagon.

Okay. Here's the deal. My mother was born into a family of German-speaking peoples. They brought the language over with them in the early 1900's, and spoke it even thru the anti-German sentiments of the 1920's. With the countdown at about 20 hours, I wonder how many other knitters are literally itching (yes, literally) to get started. I have chosen the Rowan Birch shawl as my project.
