So after years and years of putting it off, I finally read Jaqueline Carey's "Kushiel" trilogy. I mainlined the three long, long books in two days of near-constant reading. And at about 700 pages in each, that's a lot of reading, even for someone as quick as I am.

My favorite was the first book, Kushiel's Dart. ( spoilers, kinda... )

Thanks to some expert help, Trainer Rikku now has a shirt that fits and doesn't make me look like a pregnant mastodon. (You'd be surprised how frequently I look like a pregnant mastodon. I like to think of it as a gift.)
