so I've been rewatching this series (ok...I'm still in denial over its cancellation) and I've been checking its fanfic meme in this site. You get to find pretty neat things.
Saddly, some of them might be a forever WIP but hey: they are still a good soruce of headcanons.
:P
DONE FICS:
underage/consent triggers: Superman/SuperboyLet's say the reason Superman is avoiding Superboy is that he took one look at the kid and all his Kryptonian instincts started screaming "oh my god it is a member of our species for the first time ever WE MUST RUT FURIOUSLY". Being the stand-up guy he is, Clark is not okay with ravishing a sixteen year/four month-old version of himself, and the situation is not helped by the fact he's never actually been attracted to anyone on a biological level before. He decides metaphorically covering his ears, squeezing his eyes shut, and singing "LA LA LA" at the top of his lungs is his only option here, and it kind of works except when the kid goes and gets in the middle of his rescues looking all sexyfine in black and his symbol dammit. But otherwise, no, it totally works.
Until Clark runs into some red Kryptonite. You know, that stuff from Smallville? That totally fucked his inhibitions, and made him act like a superdick? A superdick who really wanted to get laid?
And oh, look, Superboy is in town trying to impress Daddy again. X:
*goes directly to hell does not pass Go does not collect two hundred dollars*
Not really looking for explicit smut here and definitely not looking for rape; I'm more after dubious consent and emotional confusion.
bonus: Clark flirting Superboy up and Superboy being all "I don't really get it but if it makes you like me, I guess?
superbonus: Afterwards Superboy is not majorly traumatized or anything, but is pretty flustered/freaked out and decides to go ask a teammate/mentor why Superman wanted him to *insert obscenity here* and if that's a normal mentor/sidekick kind of thing, because he really wants to be doing it right if it is. Cue BAT-SHAPED DOOM coming down like the Kryptonite hammer of God.
Canary-shaped doom is also totally acceptable.
Failing Safely by Kizmet
Superboy begins to suffer from clone degradation.
In Case of Emergency It had started as a joke, contingency plans made for various hypothetical circumstances, but then the world falls under mind-control, their mentors turning against them, and those rules made up in jest become something to survive by.
Seven Steps So . . . the team's in the middle of a covert mission/or in a very public place when they learn that Cadmus and/or The Light left a few easter eggs in Superboy's head. Think the bar fight scene from Serenity, minus programed sleep words. Shit hits fan, fallout ensues.
Bonus if various league members (*cough* Superman *cough*), use the incident to argue that Superboy's not safe or a trap, and uses this to justify mean/aloof behavior.
Now with a secuel!
Just hug him Clark! Batman gets heartily, heartily sick of Superman's attitude towards Superboy and decides to take drastic action - he takes the kid under his own wing and helps to train him alongside with Robin. Superboy ends up being part of the 'Batfamiy', with Robin sometimes calling him 'Bro' during YJ missions.
And then when Superman finally gets his head out of his ass and comes to try to teach Superboy, he has to first pass the Batfamily's tests to see if he is worthy of Superboy. Because Bats take care of their own.
Bonus points for Clark/Bruce, because it is my OTP, but it's totally not necessary!
Kriptonian soul bond Has anyone read
Biopsychology? It's movie!verse Superman, but I really love the idea behind it.
I'd really love to see someone use the Kryptonian-soul-bonding idea in a fic about Superman and Superboy. Superman's spent his whole life trying to bond to humans, and now he can hear Superboy calling him like a real Kryptonian! Maybe he freaks out and that's why he reacted so badly?
Bonus points if Superman discusses it with other JLA people at some point, and he's awkward and nervous because he hates letting his alien-ness show in front of humans.
And we'd fight for you like we were your soldiers I'd like to see an AU where Young Justice is in an arabian nights-like world.
The sultan is Bruce Wayne. All the other mentors are nobles/foreigners who bring gifts - young supple teenagers for Bruce's harem.
Little does anyone know, Bruce actually recruits his little 'harem' as his own personal team of agents trained in all sorts of combat to carry out tasks that would otherwise sully his name - but all in the name of justice of course.
Trepidation Nightmares are not supposed to hurt you. Angst/Hurt/Comfort. Something weird is happening to Dick when his nightmares start to take on a life of their own and he begins to unconsciously hurt himself. A two-shot with the first chapter told from Dick’s POV and the second from Bruce’s POV.
WIP's:
DisappearThe team disappears on a mission. They go to some alternate dimension, a place where they have to grown up quickly.
The Justice League searches for them to no avail and finally it’s time to “bury” their children, and move on. (I’m talking a considerably amount of time has passed, like eight years.)
Then, one day they just return.
They don’t talk about what happened during those years they were gone, but their families know something happened.
Anon!Writer doesn’t have to write out anything horrible, I just want to see major bonding between everyone and them readjusting to their lives.
Chasing the Sun All I want is Superman taking the (kryptonite) bullet for Superboy because hot damn, even if Superman's acting like an asshole, and is scared, and doesnt know what to do, you just know he'd do that for "his" boy.
Bonus points for Superman ending up in a coma/coma-like state, and waking up to only SB there.
Double bonus points for Superman goving SB a name after he wakes up.
Before the Dawn Robin was captured and tortured, and he is not okay. But no one knows how to fix him when they're not sure what's broken. This is a story of pain and recovery, of family, friends and support, and this is how Robin learned to laugh again.
Caged Bird "Let's say Batman never adopted Dick and he was left alone to fend for himself. He got thrown to one orphanage to another, until he decided he had enough and hit the street. He goes by the name Robin (the name his ma used to call him). He is a fighter, he steals to survive and he sometimes forms alliances with villains (The Joker, Poison Ivy, ect.).
While on a mission, YJ meet Robin- who is a snarky, sly streetrat who has questionable morals. He helps them out a bit, though remains nameless. Afterwards, he stays on their mind.
Once they see him, they see him everywhere. He mindlessly helps them out, confused and intrigued by them and their need to help people, but never revealing his identity. Seeing him as a potential YJ member, they attempted to recruit him.
AU! Genderbending. Hate Clex! Short form: Lex is a girl, ends up pregnant (hate sex, stolen DNA, whatever) with Superman's baby and Conner is born.
Come little children Come Little Children I'll Take Thee Away
Into A Land Of Enchantment
Come Little Children
The Time's Come To Play
Here In My Garden Of Shadows
Why yes that is the song from Hocus Pocus! XD
I would love it if someone could possibly, maybe, hopefully, write a creepy story to go along with it? Like kids all over the country start to randomly disappear and JL thinks nothing of it until the members of Young Justice start to disappear and then when they begin to investigate they realize that the one thing each kidnapping has in common is that before the child disappears the Come Little Children song is heard. Something along the lines of that I just want a good scary story. XD
illusion & dream Inspired by an episode of Justice League, where the villain traps most members of the League in their own nightmares, except Batman because he forces himself to stay awake (loosely inspired).
Same thing happens, where everyone in the Justice League and Young Justice team is trapped in an inescapable nightmare, including Batman. Robin is the only one who manages to stay awake, and continues to fight his exhaustion while going into his friends' nightmares and pulling them out of it. Lastly, he goes into Batman's head, where eight-year-old Bruce Wayne is watching his parents' murder over and over again. He manages to coax Bats out of his nightmare, and it's only after the bad guy is defeated that he finally allows himself to fall asleep. Batman carries him home.
Gen focus please, but I wouldn't say no to some Robin/Kid Flash.
Aaaand that's it for now. I'll post more recs later!!
;D
