TV and Movies and Books, Oh My! (and other crap)

TV has been disappointing lately, and I really need some recs on what's good out there that I haven't checked out.  The only thing I can say that I am completely cool with right now is HTGAWM, and how cliche is that?  And it's not even the writing, because the secondary characters are a sack of potatoes levels of bland.  It's all Viola Davis, and

I didn't realize The Visit was Shyamalan and I was definitely expecting a creepy movie, so I appreciate the warning.

As for Goodreads, nice! And there's a really excellent group for that book issue if you're still looking for it: What's The Name Of That Book?, which is like the highly skilled international organization version of the LJ community.

The Visit had some creepy moments, but there was also a lot of humor/attempts at humor. If you're not a huge horror fan and want something that gives you a chance to cool down after frights, you might like this. It's not a terrible movie if you're watching it online/at home. It's just... not worth movie theater prices IMO. OH but big warning though: there is some nudity in the film.

I might need to use that group! Thank you! I don't even care about the book at this point. I just need to know the title lol
