That was really funny, actually. I giggled at the "The bad news is that I have an uncurable form of cancer which shall kill me before the year's end, but the good news is that I just saved a lot of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico!" part.

I don't really think you should continue it. That's not an insult, but it would sound better if it was just short.

Also, I think it's "incurable", not "uncurable". But I could be wrong.

I haven't read the story yet, but will do so tomorrow. Just wanted to say I love that poem. It was one of the first I ever knew. My father used to recite it often.
