The night after My Brightest Diamond and St. Vincent, was The Grapes, a side-project duo comprising of Ash Naylor (Even) and Sherry Rich. They've only released one self-titled album, and play shows once a blue moon, so attendance is of course required... and in this case, free as well! What a good opportunity to pick up the album, too! 1. 8th Nov - Crowded House - Rod Laver Arena
   Sure the seats were kinda lame, but seeing the band in full flight, in an arena setting was phenomenal.

On Dec 30th, I saw The Black Sorrows at the Torquay Hotel with Carmen. Twas a twilight show, and they played two sets: the first being more recent material, including a rather funky song called Lean On Me, plus Hold On to Me and concluding with The Chosen Ones which also had a lengthy sax solo at the end. Saw the Hoodoo Gurus with Brett Dec 13th at the Wool Exchange. Wasn't too bad at all, and the first half of the setlist was rather intriuging. It was also really loud. Really, really loud.
