Well when it's not on a stick it's called pigs in a blanket... You can get it in coffee shops. =) And generally it is in plain (american/scottish) pancakes, but I guess since they make lots of different flavours of pancakes, why not?
You mean in coffee shops here or in the US? Well see, if it's something you get at a breakfast joint, then it's like a treat or something you only get once in a while. But if it's on a stick and be sold at supermarket, then it's something someone can eat all the time, which doesn't sound very health. =/ I'm not personally sure about the combo of flavoured (sweet) pancake with (salty) sausage...
In the US - Denny's and so forth. They don't sell yummy things in coffee shops here! =) Sorry, one of the things I really miss about the US is going out for breakfast at the weekend with friends... here it's either not possible or not worth it because English cooked breakfast is rank. No variety!
I wouldn't actually describe pancakes as sweet (unless you put syrup on them) nor American breakfast sausage as salty!
seen them. then again ada, tgi friday's and the cheesecake factory offer fried pockets of macaroni and cheese as an appetizer. nothing is sacred. decline is the way of the future.
Fried pockets of macaroni & cheese? I wonder how that tastes like? I suppose I can see having things like that once in a long time as a treat, but eating them on a regularly basis sure is no good. =/
