I'm a step closer to becoming a citizen of the UK if I want to. No, I'm not about to get married. Instead my passport has come back from the Home Office with my Indefinite Leave to Remain. HOORAY! This means I don't have to have work permits any more so future employers can hire me just as they would someone from the UK/EU. HOORAY!

I've done a bit of searching around on Etsy for various things I thought maybe I could make and sell for a little extra money. The market is absolutely saturated. I wasn't thinking that I could make a living this way by any means, but it was a way to feed my desire to take back up some of my past crafting interests and make a little money from it ( Read more... )

You know those little 10x10 (i think) icons for things like del.icio.us, twitter, RSS, etc.? What are they called? I know there's a name for them.

I love this. The official meteorological office for the UK (the Met Office) has been AWFUL with their predictions. They said last summer would be a scorcher and it wasn't at all. They said this winter would be mild and it isn't at all. The head of the thing got a pay bonus for his outstanding work. Here he is getting grilled about their lousy ( Read more... )
