Taking Time (of which I have none)
Today as I was walking across campus, I randomly ran into a friend that I haven't really seen all semester. And although I have a crazy amount of stuff to do this week, I ended up spending like an hour just talking to him and catching up. 'Twas the best hour of my day.

Anyhow, it's april. Snow shouldn't occur. Besides, it makes crew practice really, REALLY cold.
Now that we're back on the water, I am reminded of how glad I am to be doing crew. It really is a lot of fun. And the problem really isn't the time commitment of practice itself. I feel like I ( Read more... ) -
Back
Break was good. I was here for crew. 2-a-day practices, whee! But other than that, I got to do lots of sleeping, which was excellent, and watch lots of Arrested Development, which was hilarious and excellent! So it was good. And I even managed to make weight.
But break was most definitely too short, and now I have to pull myself back into a school ( Read more... ) -

In which much occurs within a short span of days.
Earlier this week, the weather was gorgeous. I had just decided that I was utterly sick of being cold, and lo and behold, the heavens opened and brought sun! Spring came to the land of New England, bringing 70 degree weather and brightening my mood tremendously, even though I was extremely annoyed by the coming of Daylight Savings Time. It's been a while
Hmm first off, I love 8.02. (which is Physics, for the non-MIT folk) The test today was excellent and I think I might actually have earned an A on a test for the first time since being here at MIT...
Diff. Eq, on the other hand....let's just say I need to do more studying...

At least now I don't look like I've been punched in the face.
If I broke, say, my ankle, I could go into MIT Medical, Urgent Care. and they'd fix it. No questions, no charge.
So why is it that when I walk in with a toothache and a swollen cheek, they send me upstairs to Dental, and then charge me lots of money for the office visit, the x-ray, and the subsequent follow-up visits??
