Eh I need to vent...don't mind me.Why do people who you thought were so cool fall into the "so dumb, I need to be popular and just have fun" catagory? Some of my friends smoke weed and pot now and do other random drugs, and lots get drunk every weekend, some even on weekdays. Even more go around having sex (or oral sex...etc) with random people who ( Read more... )

I really doubt that the majority of people will OD, die while intoxicated, etc. etc. To be honest, the majority of people who expose themselves to and experience illicit items during their youth are more likely to sober up and fly straight than those who are exposed to negative behaviours in later years ( ... )

as they said its your choice to do what you please but may i also mention that these people are probably still underage to drink and besides it tastes pretty gross from what ive had of it. also no matter how many safe sex compaigns are made and however many condom commercials there are those things may never change...also there are more ways to get an std or herpies or somthing like that than sex and that can be from getting a virus or even sharing a drink wiht someone who has had oral sex...it is your chocie to do what you please but if someone close to you does weed or any other thing it is different because that person is close to you and you know all about them...so it would be hard if they started doing things like that and didnt tell you about them...so anyway...i guess you did your research pretty well but remember even those statistics you have may not even be purley accurate...so im gonna just leave it at that.

it sucks to have a disease identityofloser September 11 2004, 00:44:20 UTC
my sister got "herpes simplex 1" when she was young from a virus (possibly the drinking fountain at school). now she is a carrier and can give it to anyone just by simply sharing a sip of a drink, loaning out a chapstick, using the same fork...etc. not too good for relationships. diseases suck.

Before the next world war starts over a journal entry...

Stephen is not necessarily arguing for drinking and smoking, etc; he's arguing for the fact that everyone has their own free will, their own choices to make, and their own life. Everyone is entitled to hold their own opinions, and have their own beliefs about what they want to do with their life. Of course Taylor has a valid point, but so does Stephen. Who has the right to tell anyone else how to live their life? Yes, we can offer our opinions and our morals up, but we have no authority to govern anyone else's life. Once again, let's hear it for free will.
And to end, everyone should remember this:

To Each His Own.

And that's all I'm gonna say.

its not right anonymous September 10 2004, 23:42:25 UTC
ok, but it might be a choice of free will, and might not be as bad as Taylor says. and i agree the stuff like sex is going down and it is freewill and u cant do much to stop it. but it fucks up your life, trust me, i would know, there is not a single person that i know, that is happy with what they did, and im friends with everyone like that from the ages of 13-40, and not a damn one is happy. I got friends out dropping out from drugs, and uncle in prison, a cousin who does all of it, and has 3 kids by the age of 23 and hates her life, a 16 friend that is getting abortions, o and the list goes on, and on, and on. so in slow motion for you..... IT FUCKS UP YOUR LIFE..... and the people that says it doesnt has not even ever really tried....

VH-1 hardly shows and safe sex stuff, MTV and BET show it more than VH-1 does. not white or black people but those channels do. and Diddy ran a City for Daddy's House, and that is his charity, yes he runs his own charity called Daddys House. And yes it boost his sales.

If you'd read again, I simply stated that VH1 and MTV were using their power to 'enlighten' this generation through the use of their channel, I only cited safe sex, Diddy's run, etc. as possible examples and never meant for the headway to be safe sex and how VH1 runs it everyday.

All the proceeds from the charity did not go into Diddy's pocket, the only exception you might be able to make is that since he does run a charitable organization there is a certain amount that he is able to write off of his taxes.

I've already made the differenciation between P. Diddy's charity and P. Diddy's record sales and how they're two different things. Sure, because of Daddy's house, Diddy may be boosting record sales; but I'd support Diddy and buy his record based on that kind of positive public display rather than buying Janet Jackson's CD for her previous incidents...
