VERY similar to what we have here - Cornish pasties!
But with minced beef, potatoes and root veg in them of course...

AND very suitable for a former miner!

"The Cornish Pasty started life as the working lunch for the tin miners to take underground with them."
See here -

I think every country has it's own version. Someone from Alaska told me they use salmon and potatoes. They all sound good!

yum!

Sounds an awful lot like Pierogis.

I miss cabbage rolls the way my mom used to make them.

hamburger, egg, rice (or oats as an extender) - rolled into meatballs, then rolled up in steamed cabbage leaves held shut with a toothpick, then baked in a cake pan in a lake of Campbells' tomato soup.

(I've since tried other meats, like italian sausage, and other sauces.)

That sounds really good, we have like 8 heads of cabbage to use up so I might try making those!

What other sauces have you tried?

That's about it. I suppose you could get into creamy stuff, or just get lazy and put a can of soup over it. I've never tried Kimchee.

I shouldn't delve into great foods two nigths in a row. It makes me hungry, and my brain is fried from work today anyway. I probably am going to tend my Farmvile and go to sleep.
