Went to the optometrist today. Prescription's a little worse, but not as much as I thought. Apart from flirting with blindness, my eyes are in good shape ( Read more... )

And I can't imagine going out and shopping. I mean, it's not as if I can see what I look like.

That's where cameraphones can be slightly useful.

Sphere + cylinder is -9.5 in both eyes, so I went with the high-index plastic.

They should have jury duty for the optometrist. Panel of people for the sold purpose of reacting to you wearing different frames. Less people can avoid that. It's not like anybody can say, "No speak English".

I fully endorse it. I did consider going to an optometrist in some visible place and demanding opinions of random passers-by, but decided that idea would probably lead to my getting arrested.
