Whups. I take for granted that you want what you say you want. I mean to ask, why do people say things like "When she start's cursing at you [ Kiss her and tell her you love her ]" and "When she pulls away [ Pull her back]"? Given that, as you point out, it's Really Bad Advice.
Acting that way, pursuing people aggressively when they stalk off, is borderline creepy, and I assume negligibly many girls want to be treated that. So why do non-negligibly many post things indicating they do want it?
Because LJ encourages stalking random people you don't know, I followed over from the UCB LJ comm. Have to say, this not only cracked me up, but is also good advice. I will have to add this to my memories if only to make other people see how ridiculously stupid those forwards are.
