So, I went to the Burlington Mall today because I was in need of  "foundation garments" and that seemed to be the most efficient way to get them.

Yup. I hear ya. Luckily, I find underwires comfortable. If I had to rely on bras being shaped exacly right for them to work, I'd find bra shopping even more of a pain in the butt than I do now.

hmm, I was taught band size method 2 (except I don't remember being told to add five inches, and I've never had a problem, odd), and cup size method 3, not that it makes a difference, what with all the bands being stretchy and weird and stuff. What we need is bras that latch in the front AND back, to allow for different right and left cup sizes (cup size method 4 is awesome, except I would wind up with different sizes lol) :o)

Personally, I'd settle for consistency across manufacturers about what the friggin' inch means.

Better yet, go to Europe - everything is measured in metric, and there's a VERY specific definition of what a meter (and thus a centimeter) is.

You're right. Malls are soulless. Next time go to a wal*mart.

Then you will be glad to go back to soulless, rather than soul-sucking.

What do I know from bras?
