sing me something soft, sad and delicate, but loud and out of key. sing me anything...

I was reading some of my favorite verses today, and I just felt like posting them.

Romans 8:31-39
...If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? Who will bring a charge against God's elect? God is the one who justifies; who is the ( Read more... )

..your faith and passion for Christ at an age where I was barely even a Christian amazes me. Being a light is so hard (especially when you hate talking to strangers ..or people in general, hehe). Hope you know how awesome you are, and what an inspiration and example to those around you you've become.

ps>Your comment on my old entry made my day <3

emmy! that is not stupid or weird. I am so encouraged by everything you wrote.

lately I've been thinking so much about how everyone at church teaches so many lessons about how we're supposed to be spreading God's word to those who don't know him but nobody actually does it. When I really stoped to think about it i couldn't believe what hypocrites we all are! I can't count how many times people at church say we need to tell our friends about Jesus and share God's love with others... but when do we do it? The only bad thing about getting really inspired is that I only know one other person who is ready to get serious about telling other people about Christ and really obeying the great commission. Now i know two! Double triple awesome. <3333

hooray...I'm glad that was encouraging to someone...and that it wasn't weird. :P
I miss you. I think we're starting the whole youth group on Friday nights thing in like two weeks, but of course I'm not really the one who knows what's going on anymore.

The whole thing with people always talking about sharing God's love, but then still not doing it is getting old. Haha, I mean, it's not hard to show love to people all the time. We always have a chance, and God notices even our efforts. Now lets see if I'll actually make a little more effort. >_> Eh, I have God to help me say hi to strangers, so it's all gravy. ;] (saying "hi" to a stranger can be the hardest thing)

You're a smart girl.

It reminds me of something I once said at a show we played at... not that I said it, because I'm a horrible speaker, but God spoke through me.

"Why is it that we say God is the most important thing in our lives, yet it is the least relevant topic of our conversations?"

I had to think about that later, because I know it didn't come from me... Because I was convicted by what I said later. It was a strange feeling.

hehe, yeah...I'm definitely a horrible speaker too. >Isn't it such a cool feeling when you know you're saying the right thing, because God's really the one speaking? I was witnessing to my friend once, and I had an answer to everything she said, and it definitely wasn't me coming up with those answers. God started the conversation, and it ended when He wanted it to. Hmm...that reminds me...I should probably call her sometime. haha ( ... )

That's also like something I read once. I wrote it down in my devotional book- "There is a difference between God being my main source or my sole source. When Jesus said He is the way, truth, and life, He meant He is the ONLY way, truth and life."

Also kinda related to what you guys are saying- "To use all of Jesus' power, you must give Him ALL of yourself. You can't receive if you hold back." (it was a study on the Holy Spirit)

*waves to Emmy*. I hope your IM is fixed soon! ~Deb.
