^^^ Agreed, and also, the magician could totally just get me a pet bunny out of nowhere. Of course, the bunny might end up being possessed or something, since he was conjured from another realm. And a bunny is fairly easy to obtain without magic.

Less. Einstein can probably explain what the magician is doing. (I'm sure it involves quantum mechanics somehow. If not, then string theory.) And that might enable others to invent something so I could do magic too.
Not enough information. Part of what makes Einstein impressive is his background, his education and his personality. Also, I don't assume that the ability to do magic is something innate not learned. So he could easily be as impressive as Einstein, but I don't have enough information to make that leap.

Besides, Einstein's discoveries, while new knowledge, were not new inventions or innovations. He simply explained what was already there.
Magic, on the other hand, defies explanation.
