Astronauts. Brains beat brawn unless brains are stupid enough to let brawn within arm's length.

Not to mention, some of those astronauts are also military pilots... I'm pretty sure they can throw down.

tell you what, you think about the number of ways astronauts could creatively incinerate and/or vaporize a pack of crazed club-wielding cavemen, and i'll get the popcorn.

you do realize there is no answer to this question because there are too many variables, right? it just goes on and on.

which is why it's awesome.

I kinda have to go with cavemen here. If they're both naked and unarmed, I'm thinking the caveman will have more experience and less moral worries about bashing the skulls of one's enemies in. But it's a toss-up if the astronaut is ex-military.

Depends on the aresenal at hand...
I think that if the caveman was strong enough to overcome mammoths and other giant beasties in the prehistoric world, and without natural claws, fangs, or even a way to keep warm without animal furs, they were pretty smart, if primitive.

I think they may have an advantage over another measly-peasly human, which is nothing on the scale of a saber-toothed tiger.

but what if the astronauts have nookular powerz lol?

Astronauts don't have nucular powers, silly! Those are Martians. Astronauts are just highly trained nerds. :) Which, actually, is another point for the cavemen.

Now, cavemen vs. Martians would be a totally different type of monkey business.

I'm also basing my answer on a caveman versus an astronaut (which is why I said "depends on the arsenal"). If an astronaut for some reason has access to that magical button that would launch Nuokular War, then I think they might win.

but what if the astronauts are Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck from "Armageddon?" then they're FUCKED!!
