he's already locked up, he doesn't die, and basically he just sits there most of the movie doing a very convincing job of being scary beyond the point of ordinary human comprehension and dropping hints for Clarice.

besides, Clarice is a chick. the whole being-a-male thing kind of influences my decision here.

yeah. i think that him getting away is a big factor, here. if this were some other movie villain... like, if you had to be darth vader and get killed by skywalker... you see where this is going.

i don't think clarice being a woman shoud be a factor. i would think that it'd be more frustrating to know that hannibal was going to get away, and that you wouldn't be able to stop him. that'd suck much more than having your gender switched, in my opinion.

Clarice. She's smart, kicks ass, and gets to hang out with Anthony Hopkins in a role I've always found to be oddly hot, even though I know that's gross. Don't judge me.
