John watched Apollo move and didn't try to interfere. He was curious, yes. But, he knew better than to pry.

He held his lover close and rocked slightly, waiting.

After a while of just sitting, being held, Apollo can't take the silence anymore.

"Tell me that whatever he did to me, it doesn't change things between us." That possibly needs context, but for now, it'll do.

"It won't change anything. Whatever he did to you happened long before I fell in love with you and you'll still be the same person to me, whatever you tell me." John had no idea what was going on, but he figured bracing for the worst was probably a fair reaction.

"I love you." Because it needs to be said. "I don't think he managed to work out emotions. Not really. So maybe... those are the only thing about me that's real. I don't get really angry, but when I do, I've felt the response honestly."

He doesn't even know what he's saying.

"I don't know. I always knew he made me but I never thought much about it. I didn't want to. I didn't want to know."

"Errol probably said it because it was a good ego boost for him. Since he trained me and all." John chuckled and held Apollo closer. "I don't know what Angie and Jenny's excuses are. But, you're welcome to watch any time you like."

"Thank you. I'm never sure what's being invasive and what isn't."

He snuggles until he's comfortable, listening to John's heartbeat.

"I'm glad you came home when you did. I was about a minute away from asking Carrier to page you."

"There isn't any part of my life you're not welcome in. I always want you with me." He continued rubbing soothing circles against Apollo's back and stroking his hair gently.

"You can always call me home when you need me. There isn't anything more important to me than you and my family."

"I just really wanted you there to hold. Nikolas might stop me from exploding when I get upset, but... He's not you. I'll call you next time. Promise."

He makes a note to bring up the Authority's info on Bendix when he gets up. Leave it for John. See if it helps explain anything.
