14th Day of Summer Holiday
Today is Independence Day,
and I celebrated in a somewhat peculiar way.
It was rainy and grey, i slept until half past 11,
and the family turned up in shifts around 1.
I hung about with that crowd until 5 when LB came 'round to fetch me
We wandered by the diner to sup and then to Starbucks to feed my addiction.

I'm down on my luck this week it seems.
Today, I lost my wallet
[containing my brand-new photo ID and all my license registration forms]
I'm really hoping it fell out in RK's mum's car or Hollister.
I don't mind about the empty Starbucks card,
or the Mall card with $7 on it,
But, I need the ID and license info.
Oh well.

I'm seated on the floor of the basement in my grandparents' house
(my summer bedroom)
And I'm surrounded by my belongings.

4 tank tops
2 button-downs
2 v-necks
2 skorts
2 skirts
3 pairs of boxers
1 pair of sweats
1 sleep-shirt
1 pair of shorts
3 bras
2 pairs of socks
1 bandanna (bright blue)

So, now I'm a senior,
Class of 2008
(We're so great)
But first, I have to survive Summer 07

As I sit here, my gums burning

and my pale legs stark
