Bible Reading--Week 4--Exodus 11-27
This week's reading included the last of the 10 plagues the Lord brought on the Egyptians, the Exodus of the people from the land, the giving of the 10 Commandments at Mt. Week 3 Bible Reading: Genesis 41-Exodus 10
This week's reading focused on Joseph and Moses. It was interesting to compare their lives. Joseph was born into a large, wealthy Jewish family and was sold into slavery by his brothers. Moses was born into one of the Jewish families that the Egyptians had enslaved and was adopted by an Egyptian princess. Joseph spent his early years in a prison ( Read more... ) -
Ezekiel 38
Today I was in Ezekiel 38, and although this a fantantic prophecy telling us how an evil alliance will come against Israel in the latter years, what I thought was interesting was how God is going to be magnified. Bible Reading--Week 2--Genesis 18-40
This week's reading focused on the great patriarchs of the Jewish nation--Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and his sons. These men and their families were far from perfect. Lying, outright deception, favoritism, sibling rivalry, incest, rape, revenge, and the sale of a brother are just a few of the characteristics they exhibited.
