I'm on, but only for a trial run right now. Facebook really wanted me to put in a last name, so I've become Li Juun. They immediately grabbed ahold of my gmail account and brought up two people that I know. One is someone that I like and want to connect with (I went ahead and sent you a message of some kind, BL). Huh. I switched everything to "only friends" so that's probably why. I'll go find you now.

I changed it so "everyone" can view my profile. Perhaps that will make me findable for people who know exactly what to look for, but not for those who don't. Um . . . ?

yeah, that's pretty much how it works, I can't friend some folks I am lj friends with because of that.

Well, I tried finding you, but Facebook insists that I must be mistaken and that I must really be looking for someone whose last name is "Juan." I think you must still be reasonably well-hidden.

Yay facebook! Feel free to add me, pretty sure I'm the only Kristin Jongsma (yay dutch name). Let me know if it doesn't let you find me, I may have gone ninja with the settings myself. o_o

I'm on FB under my real name, but I used the handy feature of making myself unsearchable after I was on there for about 2 months. I figured by then all the people I wanted to find me would have, and I could remain pretty anonymous after that. So far, so good. *raponwood*

Gack! Sorry, I was offline for-freakin-evah! Used the link, sent a friend request.

And here's the lesson: in the privacy settings, look for the Search function. I have mine set to just Friends AND I have the search engine box unchecked, so that anyone googling me will only find other FB folk with my name, but not me.
