Big thanks to everyone who posted supportive messages, suggestions, and their own stories on my post yesterday. I've been feeling rather alone, like I'm standing in crowd of people and my soul is screaming in agony, but no one can hear it. People can give me sympathetic looks and pat me on the shoulder, but that doesn't really do much for me. ( Read more... )

They really are family. My dad still gets choked up about a dog he had before I was born.

How is Midget doing with the new kitty now?

Sadly, I don't think I'll be anywhere near any of my LJ friends. The furthest south I'll be is Cape Cod where my uncle lives. Then we'll be road trippin' up to Nova Scotia.

I like the name MooGoo. MooGoo.

Uuuuuh...yeah, that would be pretty freaky. But I'm glad you found the catbird. Otherwise you might have feared a premature burial (even if it had been a while, your brain leaps to some strange conclusions when presented with freaky weirdness of that nature. At least mine does).

OMG, I never even thought of that!!!! Mainly b/c 3 years had passed, but the main thing I was thinking when I heard that catbird was "GHOST CAT!"

Now if I hear it again this spring, I'm so gonna think "ZOMBIE CAT!"
