I grew up with Queen and David Bowie and "The Velvet Goldmine," so the "frilly shirts" aestheitc is what I've loved since I was a kid. But... watching Brendon and co. develop is kind of like watching Bowie move from being Ziggy Stardust to being The Thin White Duke... different and taking some getting used to, but no less awesome :D
