I feel like a different person now. I think most of you probably added me because of a few stupid entries about the English countryside or my family or some other nonsense - I don't know why, in fact. The truth is, the countryside has left me completely unprepared for ordinary life, it has left me unable to interact with people, made me into this ( Read more... )

i feel so strongly about this entry, and what i want to say to you, but i haven't the words, probably will never have the words. but to say, simply, that i am here and you and there and i feel there will always be this connecting line between us.

That is such a consoling thought.

I added you because I found it interesting to see so much of myself in a stranger.

I suppose that is the best thing about livejournal, when you forget about everything else. (I don't care if your sentiments are clumsy, btw.)

i added you because i came across your journal and chose it... because i wanted to? i don't remember any specific motivation other than wanting you as a part of my livejournal experience (probably odd, as i'm inclined to analyse everything but why i've chosen livejournal friends...) i am willing - nay, happy - to take you however you should choose to present yourself. i do hope, however - for the good of you and your sake - that some form of happiness [or contentedness, for that matter] finds you sooner than later.

I added you because your birthday is the day before mine, Anna-pants! And that will always be true! So!

So! The joys of birthday-correlation! (Incidentally, you sound sort of British lately. (wot wot) Don't tell me you came back with a cockney accent when I didn't even get so much as a slight southern twang!

I came back with no chances to my accent at all, although I did pick up a few new turns of phrase. But in writing, I think it's a combination of things: my mother grew up in Trinidad while it was still a British colony, and was therefore educated by British and Irish nuns -- so I've picked up lots of little oddities from her -- and also, it's my tendency to imitate whatever it is I've last been reading (damn British novels. What).

And by "chances," I clearly mean "changes."

I just added you because I haven't come across many English people doing the depressed, stream of consciousness thing and because underneath it you seem like a interesting person who thinks and does interesting things.

Hmm, I didn't mean to sound so twattish there... blame it on the fact I have nothing to look foward to today except beginning an essay and the further development of my cold :)

Haha, this made me laugh, I don't know why. Perhaps because I kind of like the term "twattish". Hope your day flew and didn't crawl.
