Summary: Two thousand miles and more ghosts than that to haunt them.
Pairing: EdwardxWinry.
SpoilersPost series, so yeah. A little bit of an alternate ending. No movie though. Doesn't even exist.

I love this story. The emotions and interactions are all so natural and realistic. Just for that, this is becoming one of my favorite Ed/Winry fanfics. It made me smile how they started opening up to each other. :) And I especially liked how Ed bought some fiction books.

Thanks, I really love Winry. She's one of my favorite anime babes of all time (second to Izumi. Isn't it great that FMA provides us with such great females?) so, alot of the time, I find myself wondering what her life has been like all the times that she didn't appear on screen.

This is by far my favourite chapter so far! The progression of this story is great, and though it felt a little disjointed at first itäs all clicking together now, which I assume was the intention anyways! So great job!

Ed's reaction is painful but perfect and winry's sheer devotion is just touching. Looking forward to the increase in ed\win ness. If there's one thing I love about this, it's that I'm not sure where it's going but I know I cant wait to find out!

thank's, and yes, the disjointed feeling in the beginning was intentional. I had hoped to be able to make the chapters feel more and more flushed out and connected as Ed and Winry, (especially Ed) begin to 'wake up' from their depression. Things were disjointed and blurry in the beginning because that's what their state of mind was. It's difficult to do and until you mentioned it, I didn't think any one noticed.

Hehehe maybe i'm just picky? ;o) I can definetly see that progression you mentioned, that chapters are following the relationship so nicely, i think that's why I'm so hooked without really noticing it, ya know?

Oh my goodness...this story is wonderful. =^_^= You've obviously put effort into it--the plot is great, and even though the situation is somewhat AU, Ed and Winry are very much themselves. Also, the level of detail is marvelous--all the little things, like her noticing where he cut himself shaving make this so utterly believable.

Correct! You also get two points! Don't you think Ed would love to be able to do what Starfish do? Although, I'm not sure, but I think that the severed arm of a starfish just grows another starfish. So if Ed could do that, we'd have two Edwards.

You're right, the starfish can grow back its arm, and yes, another starfish can grow from the severed arm if a section of the starfish's central disk is severed along with the limb. =^_^=

With the correct number of divisions, there could eventually be an Ed for every fangirl who wants one. =^_^= (Wouldn't THAT end a lot of fandom wank? XD)

mmm...millions of Ed. Just imagine it. There could be punk!Ed, emo!Ed, Neko!Ed, Ed in love with Mustang, Ed in love with...Ed, for every one in the world! It would be great, but I have a feeling that eventually chaos would ensue.
