Oh no, I wonder if this is all connected to what Mick didn't want Beth to know about, ch 1 started so happily, filled with light, and then we get this dark wintry chapter.
I hope that with the Spring dare I say it, there will be a reconciliation :)

You have it right, this is the aftermath of what Mick wouldn't tell Beth. And yay, I'm glad that the bleakness came through, since this chapter was mainly to set the tone again.
Next chapter is summer again, so some answers will definitely be forthcoming. Thanks for reading!

I love this fic. I hope that you've continued and finished. I'm going to have to go back to 1 tosee what Beth's not supposed to know, then I'll check for updates.

Thank you for your comment, I'm very glad you enjoyed it. I do plan on finishing this fic sooner rather than later, but for the moment I'm so swamped at work I barely have time to sleep :( . It might take a while, but it will get done.
