Happy 12/12/12! Jeni Montgomery had her third child this morning. She was ten days overdue and finally went in last night for an induction. I'm sure hospitals were busier that usual with pregnant women wanted to have their induction or planned c-sections today. There were probably quite a few wedding as well. I love child things because there's so much mystery when you're a child. When you're a child, something as simple as a tree doesn't make sense. You see it in the distance and it looks small, but as you go closer, it seems to grow - you haven't got a handle on the rules when you're a child. Justin got his braces off today. They put permanent retainers behind his front bottom teeth as well as his two front teeth. He'll go back tomorrow for his temporary retainer. It will take a few days for me to get used to seeing him with straight teeth and no braces. His teeth look really good though. And kissing is so much better now that the metal ( Read more... )

As of New Year's, Leslie and Chris are engaged. He dropped to one knee during a fireworks display in Tampa. I'm excited that she is ready to take the next step in her life even of I'm not overly excited about it being with Chris. Mom had her partial knee replacement this morning. She's in the hospital currently, drugged up and determined that they'll stop giving her drugs tomorrow. Since they were able to only do a partial the tendons around her knee weren't cut. This should speed up the recovery process, though I still doubt her ability to go back to watching the two year ( Read more... )
